Iran implemented a 15-day visa-free policy for tourists from India and 32 other countries. This visa-free travel initiative by the Iranian government is to increase cultural bonds and strategic relations with other countries. This policy will come into force on February 4, 2024, in India.
The Iranian government implemented this policy under four conditions:
Indian citizens holding ordinary passports can visit Iran without a visa for up to 15 days every six months.
Through visa free policy, Indian nationals can enter Iran only by airways.
It applies to Indian citizens travelling to Iran for tourism purposes.
Indians needing longer stays, multiple entries, or other visas should contact Iranian representations in India.
